Big Hair, Pink Cadillacs, Cults, & Candy

So, I just got back from my Mary Kay meeting... and it was... well, interesting. It sort of felt like I was in the presence of some sort of cult. It was all about "Do you love you?" "Well, I love you!" "We love you" "We want you to love yourself" type deal. After my makeup session, and looking like a clown, we sat and listened to a few speakers and listened to them praise everyone, but more importantly, praise themselves. It was all about them, not about me or anyone else. They bragged about their diamonds, cars and money.
Though I won a prize and got free candy-YUM- I just felt totally uncomfortable. Then they cornered me afterwards and told me that I was so smart, so pretty, and so ready to join them and the Mary Kay cult. Ummmm, FAIL. I stood there in all my make up and was totally shocked, but yeah, still cornered. So they started bribing me with more free stuff and prizes, and yeah it all sounds nice and pretty, but is this something that I could ever be interested in? These were women covered in make up, each wearing 4-7 diamond rings, and matching suits... I hardly even wear make up and it's a good day if I get dressed in something that matches. I will, however admit that one of the speakers had a pretty decent story. She was working all these jobs and was in debt. Minus the jobs, I have debt. Student loan debt and my parent's are helping me right now and I HATE it. One because I feel like they still have a hold on me and I HATE asking them for money, and two I feel horrible that they are still having to support me. I'm a BIG girl now and I should be taking care of myself. Back to the speaker... she is a breast cancer survivor and started selling Mary Kay as just a part time whatever. So she started and is still doing it today. She has had free cars, no insurance payments and free vacations for 25 or some odd years. That sounds pretty good right? So where does that leave me? Well, I have another interview on Friday for an Event Planning position at a bar/restaurant called Hudson on Fifth, so that is exciting and I have a business meeting on Monday about that contract Technical Writing job too, so I have a lot to think about these next couple days. But I will admit, as freaked out as I was after the Mary Kay meeting, I'm not going to throw it off the table. I could do it just on the side, right? Would you buy Mary Kay from me? Though I don't think I could ever wear 4 diamond rings, eyeliner AND lipstick, OR drive a pink car, BUT I could use a little side bar money. Yeah, so I guess I'm not thrilled about the possibility of selling Mary Kay, but it ain't out of the question. At this point, I will try ANYTHING! LOOK OUT!!! If you are interested... here are my before and afters... I tried not to put that much on because I hate the "make up" feeling on my face. But I did give everything a try. I may not look that different in the pics, but I had a good amount on...oh just so you know, I've already taken it off. K Bye.

P.S. I would love your input... Would you buy Mary Kay from me? Do you think I would be good selling Mary Kay? Do you think it would be a good idea to give it a shot? I hear they have good lipgloss! (Candice)
