Just do it now...

...because today will be yesterday tomorrow. Ain't that the truth? I got that in a fortune cookie, and I felt like it was yelling at me for not doing a blog post yesterday. I kept putting it off and eventually never did it. So I'm back now, and it has been a pretty eventful 2 days. I'm still here at home in Navarre Beach, Florida. I figure I will do a little throwback for those who don't know me. My name is Tiffany Clemons, and I was born on Eglin Air Force Base at the end of June, 1985. I grew up in Fort Walton Beach and attended high school at Fort Walton Beach High School. Go Vikings! I, then headed up to Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama where I spent a lot of time learning, in and out of the classroom, and where Ibelieve I became who I am today.Speaking of Auburn...
Today was SIGNING DAY!!!We recuited 27 fabulous guys and I can't wait to see them in action, come this fall! WELCOME TO THE FAMILY! WAR EAGLE! Auburn was everything and more, and I felt exactly the way one of our recruits did. Earlier this week, after turning down The University of Miami and Georgia, "It just felt comfortable," [Jeff] Whitaker said during his announcement, which was streamed at DawgPost.com. "It was like no question. I couldn't turn away from it. It just felt like home when I went to Auburn." WAR EAGLE JEFF! Anyhow, Auburn was just fabulous. I got a degree, met Chad, and feel that I left a little legacy behind. I definitely met some of the best friends a girl could ask for there and will hold onto them forever! Get over it! So during my years at Auburn, my parents decided to jump the FWB ship and head over to Navarre Beach, where I am now. It's known as "Florida's Best Kept Secret!"Here is a little taste of what I have learned to call home. (Don't worry Auburn... you will always hold a HUGE piece of my heart! And I still consider you my home too, Austin don't be offended... you are my NEW love and my NEW home. Still getting used to ya!)
True Story.
This is sort of an inside joke between Chad and I...
The water was COLD!
Twas a sunny day!
They are re-building the pier! The first fish I ever caught was off the pier on Okaloosa Island. It was a flounder. I was awesome.
TOURIST WAVE!!!
I found this perfect shell... then gave it to some tourists who had a bag full and a net. They were hardcore.
Some more little shells I found.
The MOST annoying bird on the planet. If I ever catch any of you feeding these birds... I will form tackle you in the sand.
Thanks for coming!
So, while yesterday was spent at the beach, today was spent with my mom.
We drove my aunt to the airport and spent the rest of the day together. It wasn't as bad as I anticipated. She was the funny and sweet mom I love. Not the judgmental lecturing mom that I don't. We went searching for my Nike tennis show and FAIL, didn't find it. I will just have to wait until I get back to Austin I guess. Chad did mention that they were calling my name when he saw them! So we went on shopping and I found some great deals! I got a couple of new skirts. One for work, (when I get work!) and one for play. I found some pics online, so I thought I would share! The first one is Gianni Bini and is for work, but I would wear it out too! With some tights, booties and pearls... hot hot HOT! Nothing wrong with a little mix & match!
And the floral skirt is Kensie, which is one of my favorite brands! I used to work at a boutique, in my home away from home, Auburn, that carried it, and I always loved putting it away so I could buy later! The boutique was called Behind The Glass, and I made some lifelong friends, as well as obtained some lifelong fashion! BTG, as we like to call it is where I met Rachel.
Anyway, I hope these skirts get a lot of wear! So, back to my mom. She is usually always on me about my weight, money, job, car, WHATEVER, but this trip, after she finally came home, she has been great. I remember why I love her so much, and I have realized how much I do miss her. LOVE YOU MOM. That is her with stinky Pete. Today is one of my great friend's birthdays! Her name is Abigail Holloway, and not only does she have a sharp tongue, she understands me, and that is all I need in a friend. Someone who can give it and take it! Haha. We used to have dinner dates, and let me tell you... I MISS THOSE SO! We also went on fun adventures together, like to see Britney and I pretty much owe my degree to her too for tutoring me in History II. If it wasn't for her, I would probably still call Auburn my home. See Abby! Blame yourself for me leaving! Oh, and she's hot. "I'm sorry that everyone is so jealous of me, but I can't help it that I'm popular." Love you Abby! Miss you so!!
My dad is as crazy as ever. He has been trying to lure birds into his bird house using a laptop and speakers playing bird calls. He has been doing this for 2 days and I'm pretty sure I haven't seen one bird. Whatever, I guess it keeps him busy and off the internet. So, I'm headed back home tomorrow and though I will miss my parents, I will be glad to be back. I miss Chad dearly and I feel as if I have been unproductive since my time at home. Sure, I've been applying for jobs as if I would be in Austin, but it's just different I guess. I probably could have already interviewed for the positions I am, and possibly gotten one? Hindsight is always 20/20 right? Haha, well I am looking forward to my interviews! I may even wear my new skirt! Well, I'm off to help my mom make some dinner and pack...ugh. Last night, I tried this new sushi place in Navarre. I seriously can never get enough sushi! It's called The Slippery Mermaid. It is the tiniest little place ever and too cute. Some of their rolls are named different "mermaids." I had the Hot Mermaid and Shrimp Tempura Roll... YUM!
Oh and 1 more little random thing. (My specialty!) I went to the almighty WalMart last night to grab a few essentials and came across these tomatoes... yeah, I'll leave it at that. All I know is that I couldn't stop laughing. Yes, I know I need a manicure.
